Brother Ron Oakley of Moncton passed away on June 23, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the Late Thomas and Minnie (Purdy) Oakley. He retired from Canada Post after a 36 year career. Ron was a member of the Masonic Lodge Zetland Chapter Lodge No. 24 F&AM, the OES Zetland Lodge No. 26 as well as the Harrisville United Church.. He will be dearly missed by his wife Faye; children; Bonnie Beers, Wendy Oakley, Bill Oakley, Tom Oakley; sister, Amy Keddy, grandchildren Scott, Alex (Jolaine), Katie, Ben (Brittany); great grandson Logan and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Jim and a granddaughter Megan.
Ron spent many years enjoying bowling, darts yet his cherished times were on the water with a fishing rod in hand. However it was moments spent with his family and the joy he had watching his grandchildren grow.
