Fidelity Ch. No.5 mourns the passing of Bro. Robert Douglas O'Hara

We are saddened to announce that on June 30, 2025, at the age of 100, Robert Douglas O'Hara passed away peacefully with his son by his side at the Veterans' Health Centre. Born in Moncton, he was predeceased by his parents John and Alvina (Boudreau) O'Hara as well as his wife Dorothy (2007) and his siblings, his sister Edith Rice, brothers: Harry O'Hara and Walter O'Hara. Edith Rice, Harry O'Hara and Walter O'Hara.
Bro. Bob is survived by his children, Eleanor Bishop, Janet Walsh (Brian Hill) and Kevin O'Hara (Tracy); and his grandchildren, Karl, Karen, Linda, Calvin, Susan, Nicholas, Kristopher, Candy and Michael. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In 1942 Bob enlisted to serve with the Canadian Armed Forces and had a 35-year career with CN as a track supervisor. Bob was a former member of the Boundary Creek Church and Wheaton Settlement Church. An active member in the Moncton Masonic lodge, Scottish Rite, Royal Arch, Knights Templar, Luxor Temple Shrine, and Fidelity Chapter of the Eastern Star.
He was a CN Pensioner, a member of Salisbury's Lion's Club and a Legion Member, Branch # 6. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on the memorial page of Fair Haven's Funeral Home and share them with the family.
Bro. Bob rested at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on July 2nd. A legion service was held at 1:50 pm followed by a funeral service in the Fair Haven Chapel of the following day at 2:00 pm. A reception took place in the Garden View Reception Room immediately following the funeral service. Interment in Fair Haven Cemetery.
