Sis. Carol, originally Carol Morris, was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Blackburn England. She married the love of her life Charles Ladham in February of 1960. In 1966 they moved to Windsor, Ontario with their two sons, just a toddler and baby at the time. Eventually moving to Riverview, NB where they raised their family, and lived their lives in Point Park. Charles predeceased her in 2002. Carol will also be missed by her closest friends, Helen Curwin, Nancy at Monarch Hall, and Chris LeClair, and she was predeceased by other lifelong friends Midge and Pat. Carol will also be missed by many others such as Denny LeClair, Linda Beal and Todd Smith who have all been a part of Carol’s life and spent special occasions and Christmas together for many, many years.
Sis. Carol and her grand daughter Raven, spent these past years since Carol’s unfortunate stroke in 2022 recording stories of Carol’s life and creating a bond that will last Raven a lifetime of happy memories spent with her Gramma, her devotion to caring for her over these past years has been a gift to Carol and their strong love for each other was obvious to everyone who knows them. Carol will always be remembered by her beautiful English style gardens that she lovingly tended and cared for at her home in Point Park that are now beautifully kept up by her son Andrew. Carol loved to dance and spent many years clogging and line dancing, she also loved bridge and more recently playing skip-bo, and bingo with her friends at Monarch Hall. We cannot talk about Carol without mentioning her love for TV shows.
Carol’s love of flowers was known to everyone, she especially loved yellow roses and pink carnations and got great joy watching the birds, especially the yellow breasted goldfinch. Many thanks to all of the people who cared for Carol and her visits with therapy dogs Prince Harry and Grace, to Jenn for keeping her long nails beautifully polished every week at the home, to the staff at Monarch Hall and the caring nurses and staff at palliative care at the Moncton Hospital while Carol made her transition "home".
Sis.Carol’s strength and positive attitude, despite the many challenges she faced since having a stroke was admired by everyone who knows her, always a pleasant, giving, and caring person with a positive attitude and smile. There will not be a viewing, a private celebration of life will be held for family and closest friends only. Donations in Carol's memory can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en).
