| Sister Marilyn Janet Hutchinson of Quispamsis passed away on Nov. 22, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Marilyn was born April 2, 1947, a daughter of Lorne and Ida Field, Murray Corner, NB. |
She began her career as a school teacher and later joined her husband, Ronald, in the operation of their businesses - Ron's Discount Center Ltd and Hutchinson's Appliance Sales and Service. They retired together in 1993. |
Sis. Marilyn was a member of Saint David's United Church, Rothesay; and a member of the Daughters of the Nile and a Past Matron and several times a Grand officer of the Order of the Eastern Star where she will be missed. |
Marilyn is survived by her stepdaughter, Judith (Bruce) Eden, stepson, Lindsay (Annabeth) and their families; her brother William (Margaret) Field; sister Valerie Doucett (Tony), and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by Ronald, her siblings Rodney Field and Roberta Fields, and her sister-in-law Rita Schaus. |
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will take place from 1:00-3:00 PM on Friday, November 29, and the Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 30th. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery, Port Elgin, at a later date. |
