Bonnie was born on 9 December 1952 to Robert and Connie Head. She grew up in Renforth and graduated from Rothesay High School in 1970 at the top of her class. In 1968 Bonnie met her future husband, Bill. They were married in May 1974 and enjoyed nearly fifty years of happiness together. Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband Bill; her daughter Laura (Carson) and son Neill (Otis); grandchildren Alfie, Alex, and Nora; siblings Stephen, Rob, and Janice; several nieces and nephews, including Marissa, Maddy, and Charlie, who were like her first grandchildren; her dear in-laws; and her lifelong friend, Judy Meagher. Along with her mother and father, Bonnie is predeceased by her niece, Jessica.
Bonnie was beloved by her close circle of friends and family. After retirement she enjoyed several years of relaxation and travel, including to the UK, China, and much of the United States, before her illness set in. Bonnie and Bill loved to spend the winters in Florida, and while she was home in Rothesay Bonnie took great pride in her flower garden, the most beautiful in the neighborhood. Bonnie enjoyed cooking, reading novels, and playing cards. Family came first to Bonnie. She was loving, supportive, protective, but also brutally honest. She was known as a fiercely smart and dependable woman, and many people came to her for advice and guidance. Bonnie was deeply loved, and her passing is a great loss. Her family and friends take comfort and relief in knowing that she is at rest.
Visitation and Funeral Service was held at Fundy Funeral Home, on March 15th 2024 with a reception following burial.
