It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Bro. Leigh L. Manning, age 74, of Moncton, NB. Leigh passed away at home on Wednesday, Jan.24, 2024.
Born in New Carlisle, PQ, he was a son of the late Herbert and Eleanor (Cooke) Manning. After high school, Leigh attended Mount Allison University graduating with his B.Sc, and B.Ed; from Acadia University with his M.Ed. He taught at the Riverview High School, then the Moncton High School, retiring after 35 years.
Bro. Manning was a member of the Keith Masonic Lodge. He was a faithful member of Winston Churchill #19 and Frank H.Tingley #5 chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star, and member of the (Moncton) Shriners of Luxor Temple. He was a caring and kind man to all who met him.
Leigh will be dearly missed by his wife Diane (Horsman) of Moncton; sister Veneta Lawrie, Brampton, ON. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers and a brother in law.
Arrangements were under the care & supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, NB. A graveside service will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery in the spring, Rev. David Chung officiating.
