Fidelity Chapter # 36 mourns the loss of Sis. Muriel Agnes Douglas

Muriel A. Douglas, 89, of Moncton, passed away following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving daughters, at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, July 16, 2021.

Born in Hillsborough, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Vera (Layton) Parker.

Muriel was retired from the Finance Department of Co-Op Atlantic with 15 years’ service, attended First Baptist Church Moncton and was a member of Frank H. Tingley #5 O.E.S. and the Moncton Probus Club. She enjoyed bowling in the Eaton’s Senior League at Parklanes.

Muriel will be sadly missed by her daughters, Cindy Difabio (Lino) of Vancouver, BC, Sharon Larracey (Norman) of Moncton and Barbara Douglas (Laura) of Mississauga, ON; son, Gary Fales (Lorraine) of Lake Cowichan, BC; grandchildren, Jillian Leonard, Christopher Difabio, James Douglas, Charles Douglas, Don Fales, Ryan Fales, Shane Fales and Jori Fales; several great grandchildren; sisters, Marion Harrison of Hillsborough and Vera Wesley (Paul) of Fredericton; brothers, Ralph Parker (Joan) and Leon Parker (Mary) both of Nanaimo, BC; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Bob" J. Douglas (2011); brothers, Vaughn and Ivan.

A heartfelt thank you to the Nurses of 6600 of The Moncton Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Muriel and her family.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Muriel’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
