Unity Chapter #35 mourns the loss of Sis.Margaret Morehouse

Martha (McVicar) Morecraft of Harvey, NB passed away on Dec. 22, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a brief illness. She was 76. Martha was born on Sept.19, 1944 at Seeley's Cove, Charlotte Co., NB, a daughter of the late Reg and Lucy (Patterson) McVicar.
Martha was a member of Eastern Star, Lake George Snowmobile Club and she attended the Baptist Church in Harvey. She loved the outdoors and going back to the hunting camp on her wheeler. Martha loved her family and friends and she will be missed by all.
She is survived by two sons, Martin Morecraft and Barrie Morecraft (Leisha), both of Harvey Station, NB; grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse, Candyce (Adam), Lacey (Ryan), Madison (Marcus), Jacob and Dawson; five great grandchildren; her siblings, Donna Clark, Barbara Black both at Black's Harbour Nursing Home, Roberta Mersereau, Harvey, NB, Joe McVicar (Phyllis), Norton, NB, Clara Leslie (Junior), Pennfield, NB, Thelma Lomax (Paul), Lepreau, NB and Lynda Lomax, Saint John, NB; a brother-in-law, Berton Morecraft, St. Stephen, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Calvin Morecraft, a son Lorrie Morecraft and two brothers Jerry and James McVicar.
There was no visitation. A funeral service (by invitation only due to Covid19) will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020 at 2 pm with Lay Pastor Maggie Gibson of Harvey Baptist Church officiating. Interment at Magundy Cemetery.
