Grand Chapter mourns the passing of Sis. Glenna Taylor, PGM.

WGM 1972-1973

Glenna Mary (Schofield) Taylor wife of the late Arnold Taylor of Lower Derby, NB, passed away Friday August 21, 2015 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 85. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Kathryn (Tozer) Schofield. Glenna was a member of Miramichi Chapter #44, Miramichi and served as secretary for the former Prince Andrew Chapter #42 for many years. Sister Glenna was a Past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of New Brunswick, Order of the Eastern Star in 1972-1973 in her “Breath of Spring” Grand Chapter Session along with her Worthy Grand Patron, Brother Leonard Kelloway. She was a retired Steno Clerk for the Province of NB, a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, member of W.M.S., member of A.M.S., member of Derby Seniors Group, and a member of the Hyland Society.

She is survived by two daughters; Arlene Taylor of Douglastown NB and June MacIvor (John) of Lower Derby NB, one son; Robert (Cindy) of Lower Derby NB, two sisters; Jenny Schofield of Florida and Anna Love of Mactaquac NB, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Hubbard, her second Husband Arnold Taylor, one daughter Kathryn Isabel Taylor and one grandchild David Mills.

An Eastern Star Memorial Service was held on Sunday August 23, 2015. Funeral service was held on Monday August 24, 2015 at Davidson’s Funeral Home in Miramichi. Interment was at Williamstown United Church Cemetery.
