Obituary for Kathleenn "Kay" Williams

Kay L. Williams of Harvey Station, NB, wife of the late Lewis Williams (2006), passed away on April 10, 2018 at Hospice Fredericton. Kay was born on May 21, 1927 at Prince William, NB, a daughter of the late Scovil and Aileen (Sidwell) Graham.

In early adulthood, Kay taught at several rural one–room schools and in later years, was employed at Kings Landing Historical Settlement. She was an active volunteer and was a member of several groups and organizations including St. Clements Anglican Church, Order of Eastern Star, Lioness Club, Harvey Music Festival and Cornelius Craft Guild. Kay gained much pleasure from painting, crocheting, quilting, gardening, making Christmas wreaths, singing in the church choirs and entertaining at family gatherings. Kay and Lewis enjoyed dancing, curling and playing card games with friends.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Williams (Patricia), Prince William, NB, Gary Williams (Susan), Harvey, NB; two daughters, Karen Bartlett (Hugh), Chamcook, NB and Kayla Vance (Rob Sloan), Magaguadavic, NB; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Cronkhite, Fredericton, NB; a sister–in–law, Elinor Graham, Hampton, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Ann Williams; two brothers, Arthur Graham and Floyd Graham and a brother–in–law, Lloyd Cronkhite.

Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826, Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm. An Eastern Star Service will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2 pm, followed immediately by the funeral service with Rev. George Clark and Rev. P. Mercer officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date at the Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
