Grand Chapter of NB mourns the passing of Sister Hazel Harris, PGM 1993-1994

Sister Hazel Harris, Past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of New Brunswick, passed away on March 17, 2018 in her 92nd year. She was predeceased by her husband Chesley Harris. She is survived by two daughters, one son, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Sister Hazel was a member of Lady Alexander Chapter #24 in Campbellton, NB. She was a former member of Bathurst Chapter #22 in Bathurst, NB, where she served in several offices and that of Worthy Matron, but was the Chapter Secretary for several years, prior to its closing. She served the Grand Chapter as Worthy Grand Matron in the “Rainbow of Trust and Love” Grand Chapter 1993-1994 Session along with Rupert Sypher as her Worthy Grand Patron. She was the Secretary / Treasurer of the Past Grand Association of the Grand Chapter for several years.
Sister Hazel was a member of First United Church in Bathurst, serving in their United Church Woman’s group, and worked as a registered nurse until her retirement.
There will be visitation on Thursday March 22 from 2-4PM and 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Bathurst. An Eastern Star service will be conducted on Friday March 23, 2018, by members of Lady Alexander Chapter #24 during Sister Hazel's funeral service to be held at First United Church 309 St Patrick street Bathurst ,NB at 2 PM.
