Frank H. Tingley #5 mourns the passing of Bro. George Holton

It is with regret we announce the passing of George A. Holton, of ProTem Health Services, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his residence. George was born in Homeville, Cape Breton and was the son of John and Sophie (Pastuck) Holton. 
George was a retired motorman with CNR with over 20 years’ service. In earlier years, he was an aero engine technician with the RCAF, stationed in various locations in Canada. George left the RCAF and moved to Moncton, NB opening one of the first trucking fleets in the area, during which time, he was a founding member of the NB Trucking Association. In his retirement years, he started a blueberry farm in Oxford, NS. George was a member of St. Philip’s Anglican Church and attended St. John the Baptist Anglican Church. He was a member of Acacia Lodge #49, Ivanhoe Perceptory #36, Botsford Royal Arch Chapter #7, Past Patron Frank H. Tingley #5 and a former Grand Representative to Connecticut and a Shriner. 
George is survived by his children, Betty Rushton (Charlie), Lloyd Holton Sr. (Shelley), Stephen Holton and Bonnie MacBeath; cherished grandchildren, Lloyd Holton Jr. (Terri), Mark Holton, Tim Holton (Kelly Smith), Angela McNutt (Neil), Ashley Holton and Logan and Victoria MacBeath; great grandchildren, Riley Holton, Cole McNutt, Seanna Holton-LeBlanc and Skylar Stone. He is also survived by a brother, Ernie (Pat) and sister, Ardis (Jim). 
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Minerva G. Holton (March 2017). 
In honoring George’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Committal service will take place at St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Bridgetown, NS at a later date.
