Frank H. Tingley #5 mourns the loss of Bro. William Murray

BROTHER WILLIAM “BILL” MURRAY

Brother Bill Murray, 89, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 22, 2016. Born in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late John Murray and Mary Murray.Bro. Bill had a life-long career in television broadcasting, beginning his career as a radio announcer in the early 50’s. He moved to Moncton in 1954 and worked with CKCW radio/TV.
He was a member of Northumberland Lodge, Miramichi and Tweedie Lodge, Moncton. He was Grand Master in 1985-1987. Bro. Bill was also member of Luxor Shriners and the Moncton Shrine Club. He served as Potentate of Luxor Temple in 1994. He was also a member of The York Rite and Royal Order of Jesters.
Bro. Bill was initiated into Frank H. Tingley Chapter #5 on February 18, 1988.
He is survived by his sons John Murray (Marilyn) and Christopher Murray, both of Moncton. Also his granddaughter, Sinclaire. He was predeceased by his wife Lois in 1997.
In respecting Bill's wishes, there was no visitation. A Masonic Memorial Service was held prior to the funeral service, at St. James Anglican Church, on Thurs. Jan. 19, 2017.
