Miramichi Chapter #44 Mourns the Passing of Sister Darlene Whitney

Here are the Funeral Arrangements for Darlene: Star Service will be Wednesday, at 6:45 pm, (be there by 6:30 pm)

Visitation will be held at Bells Funeral Home, 651King George Highway, Miramichi.
Tuesday, March 22, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Wednesday, March 23, from 2:00 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 24th, @ 2:00 pm at the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi.

Darlene Grace Whitney 1961-2016
Darlene Grace Whitney of Whitney, NB, passed away on Saturday, March 19th, 2016 at the Moncton City Hospital at the age of 54. Born in Whitney, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Ruby (Dunnett) Whitney.
Darlene was a retail clerk with Siddall's Jewelry for over 25 years, and most recently worked at the Great Canadian Dollar store in Newcastle. Darlene was a member of St. Philip’s United Church, Whitney; Whitney U.C.W., Past Matron of Miramichi Chapter #44 Order of the Eastern Star. Darlene enjoyed singing in various choirs.
Darlene is survived by two sisters: Janice (Ron) Shannon of South Esk, NB and Brenda Whitney of Whitney, NB; the apples of her eye: Asher, Madisson, Callum, Aiden, Sofia; one special niece: Whitney and two special nephews: Matthew (Stephanie) and Nathan (Catherine).
Darlene is predeceased by her mother: Ruby (Dunnett) Whitney and her father: Sterling Whitney.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway on Tuesday, March 22nd from 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, on Thursday, March 24th at 2 P.M. with Reverend Geza Szemok officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in Darlene’s memory, donations may be made to St. Philip's United Church Cemetery Fund or a memorial of one's choice.
